We started this blog just before our 2008 motorcycle trip to Oregon. We will add photos and commentary from other trips as time goes on. We use a Canon EOS Rebel XS digital still camera for the pictures on the 2010 and newer entries and it takes very good pictures, when we let it. Jane does most of the photography, route planning and navigation and I do the piloting and pay the tab.

Cold and rainy are the order of the day, no photos!
We left Deadwood SD with gray overcast skies and a morning temperature of about 42 degrees. About an hour down the road the temperature got up to the mid 50's which was to be our high for the day. About noon we stopped for lunch and some bikers going east informed us that there was rain up the road a few miles. After lunch we headed out with our rain suits on and rode in the rain for about 200 miles. By the time we arrived at Billings MT we were pretty cold and somewhat wet, even with good rain gear you can't stay dry forever. We checked into our hotel, took hot showers and did laundry.
